SERDANG 17 August - The Malaysian Museum Department (JMM) delegation return visit to the Museum of Human Anatomy (MAM) which is one of the eDU-PARK UPM locations.
The Museum of Human Anatomy (MAM) UPM was established in 2005 as a resource center for students and the community related to human anatomy and physiology in collaboration with eDU-PARK UPM.
An effort to improve is always executed at MAM in various aspects whether, in terms of infrastructure, materials studied, and museum-related procedures in order to provide continuous benefits to visitors.
On 4 June 2020, a working visit was made by MAM to the Department of Museums Malaysia (JMM). The visit was led by Dr Muhammad Zulfadli Mehat (MAM Coordinator) also accompanied by Prof Datin Dr Sharida Fakurazi (Head of Department), Associate Prof Dr Mohamad Aris Mohd Moklas (Head of Anatomy Unit) and 4 staff. The purpose of this visit is to exchange various aspects of JMM museum management expertise for MAM improvement in the future.
Following that, the JMM held a counter visit to MAM on 17 August 2020 to see for themselves the exhibition materials, facilities and museum environment led by Mr. Mohd Azmi Mohd Yusof (Deputy Director General (Museum)) with another delegation, Mr. Zainal Arifin ( Director of Conservation Management Division), Mrs. Roslelawati Abdullah (Director of Corporate Communications Division), Mrs. Sitti Rabia Abd Rahman (Deputy Director of the National Museum), Mr. Badrul Hisham (Deputy Director of Collection Management Division) and photographer. A brief meeting between JMM and the Dean of FPSK, Prof Dr Zamberi Sekawi and the eDU-PARK UPM was also successfully implemented.
Various ideas and suggestions have been submitted by JMM to MAM and both parties are ready to share expertise and knowledge to ensure MAM is on a strategic and competitive path in improving the quality of services in the future.
