InnoHub Programme Intake Process

The InnoHub Programme by Putra Science Park provides a strategic platform for Universiti Putra Malaysia (UPM) researchers to translate research innovations into market-ready solutions. The intake process is carefully structured to ensure selected projects demonstrate strong commercial potential, scalability, and industry relevance.

1. InnoHub Programme & Market Validation Grant Briefing

This session introduces the programme structure, scope of support, and details of the Market Validation Study Grant (InnoHub). Researchers will gain early insights into market needs, commercialisation strategies, and selection criteria.

2. Application Submission

Applicants are required to complete and submit the application form with comprehensive project details, including technology background, Technology Readiness Level (TRL), market potential, uniqueness of the innovation, and proposed business model.

3. Pitch Deck Review & Enhancement Session

Participants will undergo a guided session with programme officers or mentors to refine their presentation materials. Emphasis is placed on strengthening the value proposition, problem-solution fit, and revenue potential.

4. Pre-Evaluation Briefing

This session provides detailed guidance on the evaluation format, scoring criteria, and panel expectations, enabling participants to prepare effectively for the pitching session.

5. Project Evaluation (Pitching Session)

Participants will present their projects to an evaluation panel comprising industry experts, investors, and academic representatives. Assessment criteria include innovation strength, technical feasibility, market potential, business model viability, and team readiness.

6. Results Announcement & Selection

Successful projects will be officially selected into the InnoHub Programme. Selected participants will receive continued support, including funding opportunities, business mentoring, industry networking, and facilitation towards startup establishment.
