SEPANG, 22 August- Team Langit Putra participated in Anugerah Inovasi Negeri Selangor organised by Selangor State on 22 August 2022. With the theme focusing on Innovation, the one day exhibition and conference have brought together passionate professionals from the multidisciplinary faculties of Selangor to showcase their latest inventions to the industry and public. 

The Selangor State Innovation Award (AINS) aims to provide opportunities for all residents of the State Selangor which covers individuals, civil servants, private companies, schoolchildren and students of the Institute of Higher Education (IPT) in sparking creative and innovative new ideas towards culture of innovation in the State of Selangor.

Skyridder

The KIK Langit Putra group is a group of non-academic staff  from the TNCPI Office and PSP consists of 5 members altogether led by Mr Asrizam. The team has come out with an innovation named, Skyridder. 

Skyridder is a tool used to overcome the difficulty of removing old wire on lampposts. This invention was particularly developed with the aim to promote a better way of removing wood splinters on the lamp posts after the outdoor advertisements were taken down.

The rusty old wire together with the rubbish bunting pieces left on the lampposts will make it difficult to install new hangers and also pollute the environment scenery thus affecting the image of cleanliness. 

According to Asrizam, the innovation of skyrider pays close attention to the safety features. The characteristic of skyridder is designed in ensuring the safety of the workers while the process of wire disposal runs smoothly, easy and quick.  

Skyridder has been awarded with various achievement milestone including Gold Award, Malaysia Invention & Innovation Expo (MIIX) 2022 International,Gold Award for Regional Convention on Team Excellence (RISTEX) 2020, First Place and Gold Award for Hari Kualiti dan Inovasi Perkhidmatan (HKIP) UPM 2018, First Place and Gold Award for Anugerah Kumpulan Inovatif dan Kreatif UPM, 2017.
