SERDANG, July 25, 2019 - PSP shares its expertise  on IP policy and market validation at Botswana Accountancy College (BAC), Gaborone Campus, Bostwana on April 15 - 17, 2019.

The workshop is aimed at helping develop BAC's intellectual property policy and market validation.

According to Serty Leburu, Executive Director of BAC, it is a higher education institution in the Gabarone region.

He said, "This program provides excellent guidance for implementation through BAC's research and innovation policy".

Mr Ahmad Zakir Dato Wira Jaafar, CEO of Commercialization of PSP and Associate Professor Dr Zahira Mohd Ishan, Deputy Director of IP Division of PSP, was a UPM delegate who shared intellectual property and commercialization expertise with 27 participants including BAC management, lecturers and administrators.

Dr Zahira said, "BAC has taken an important initiative to further strengthen the technology transfer and commercialization ecosystem by developing their own IP policy".

The program's journey was coordinated by Hafliza Hussin, Executive Officer, PSP's Marketing and Innovation Marketing Division in collaboration with BAC officials.

According to Hafliza Hussin, Executive Officer, Promotional Marketing and Marketing Division of PSP, "The program is a continuation of the World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO) Program held last year in Botswana.

The PSP delegation also took a tour of Botswana's area of ​​commercialization to see one of Botswana's tourism revenue contributing to the country's economy.
