Research Grant Development Product UPM (GPPP)

Please be informed that the Commercial Fund Unit, Putra Science Park (PSP), Office of the Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Research & Innovation) (TNCPI), UPM is now opening its second intake for Research Grant Development Product (GPPP) to all academicians in UPM.

^ GPPP Application for Batch 7 Year 2025   

GOALS:

This grant will help researchers identify market needs and reduce investor risk in financing high-risk projects/technology towards the commercialisation process. It will be used to propel a particular technology or service toward commercialization.

TARGET:

This grant is offered to UPM researchers (academic and non-academic staff) to improve and advance research results towards pre-commercialization, so that it can move more dynamically, to attract industry, partners, or investors.

CREDENTIALS:

• Technology must have received Intellectual Property protection; 
• Technology readiness at TRL 5 or TRL 6;
• Have a market target that has been identified;
• High potential to commercialize;
• Have industry partners who intend to commercialize developed innovative products.

INTEREST:

• Allocation of up to RM 100,000.00 per project.
• Maximum project up to 1 years.
