STAGE 2: INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY PROTECTION

Once researchers have developed high-impact innovations, Intellectual Property (IP) protection becomes a crucial step supported by Putra Science Park to ensure that creations are legally protected through registrations such as patents, trademarks, and copyrights. PSP plays a key role in guiding researchers through the filing process, management, and IP protection strategies, while also assessing commercialization potential to facilitate effective technology transfer to industry. Applications for intellectual property at Putra Science Park are managed by the Intellectual Property Management Section. Without such protection, innovations are at risk of being copied or misused by others, leading to loss of ownership rights, commercial value, and reduced opportunities for revenue generation and societal impact.
