STAGE 3: INNOHUB STARTUP COMPANY

The establishment of startup companies under INNOHUB Putra Science Park (PSP) refers to the structured process of transforming intellectual property (IP)-protected research outputs from Universiti Putra Malaysia (UPM) into viable technology-based enterprises. These startups are created to bridge the gap between laboratory innovations and market-ready products or services.

Following the successful protection of an innovation through intellectual property (IP) registration, the innovation is assessed for its commercial potential, technology readiness level, and market demand. If deemed viable, it may be further developed under the INNOHUB programme into a startup company.

Through INNOHUB PSP, these startups receive comprehensive support, including training, business model development, market validation, mentoring, and access to industry networks and investors. INNOHUB also serves as a technology entrepreneurship hub that nurtures innovators into technopreneurs, enabling sustainable commercialization and enhancing the impact of university research at national and international levels.
