NILAI, June 23 – The Innovation Promotion and Marketing Section, Putra Science Park (PSP) UPM held an industry network in conjunction with the Farmers, Breeders & Fishermen's Day held at Dataran Nilai, Negeri Sembilan last June 22 to 25.
According to UPM's Executive Officer, Mrs. Wan Nuryani Wan Mohamed Rosly, the program has a very positive impact in increasing close cooperation between the university and entrepreneurs, especially in the field of research.
"Putra Science Park as UPM's technology transfer center is always exploring collaboration opportunities with industry and entrepreneurs to commercialize various new technologies that are available for commercialization, especially to drive the agricultural sector and preserve food safety," he said.
Also participating in the exhibition was the Malaysian Tourism Agency which gave visitors the opportunity to take the opportunity to color the canting batik paintings provided in their rerua.
The Farmers, Breeders & Fishermen Day showcased various sales results such as agricultural products, livestock, weaving, sales of food products, health products and many more which were participated by various SME companies related to agriculture and food.
The diversity of companies and also small industries in Negeri Sembilan is expected to be able to give space to UPM to carry out cooperation. It is hoped that this industrial networking session will be able to open up opportunities for UPM to promote and commercialize technology products, especially in the fields of agriculture and food.
