SERDANG, 6 Nov - Putra Science Park (PSP), Universiti Putra Malaysia (UPM), in collaboration with the Forest Research Institute Malaysia (FRIM) has organized a two-day Lean Market Validation Workshop from 29 to 30 September 2020 here.
The workshop, which was attended by 25 participants from researchers and management and professional groups, was successfully co-organized by the Innovation and Commercialization Division (ICD) and Training Branch (CLP), FRIM, aimed at exposing participants to market validation in identifying appropriate market targets for innovative products produced by the institute.
"Participants are exposed to the 'Lean Model Canvas' (LMC) to translate innovation ideas through a validation process before they can go out to the market and this workshop is the best platform to share experience and expertise to develop the potential of innovative products to be commercialized by this institute", said Adrian Joseph, Chief Executive Officer, InnoHub Section, Promotion and Commercialization Division, PSP who also acted as the coach for the workshop.
According to him, participants were also given the opportunity to hold an interview session with potential customers outside FRIM to get the current market perspective of each prototype produced.
Meanwhile, the two-day workshop which took place at the Aromatica Villa, FRIM was officiated by ICD Division Director, Mr. Mahmudin Saleh and also assisted by Hafliza Hussin, Executive Officer in the Training Services Unit who is also the project manager of the Putra Dynamics innovation training program, PSP. - UPM
