PSP, UPM Receives Delegation Visit From Kementerian Belia dan Sukan

SERDANG, August 24 - Putra Science Park, UPM received a delegation visit from 40 members of the Innovation and Quality Assurance Division, Institute of Leadership Development and Excellence (i-LEAD), Ministry of Youth and Sports (KBS) on 24 August 2022 to enhance participants' knowledge and understanding of creative and innovative thinking skills in carrying out daily tasks.

Director of Putra Science Park, Prof. Ir. Dr. Hj. Kamarul Arifin Ahmad and the top management member of Putra Science Park, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Wan Nurhayati Wan Ab Rahman, Deputy Director of Innovation Promotion and Commercialisation Section, and Assoc. Prof. Dr. Zahirah Bt Mohd Eshan, Deputy Director of Intellectual Property Section and several staff of Putra Science Park was seen welcoming the delegation from KBS. 

The delegation led by Mr Hazli Bin Hj Hamzah from the Innovation and Quality Assurance Division, INSTITUTE for Development and Leadership Excellence KBS said this division plays an important role in ensuring that it is able to develop a holistic and superior youth towards a prosperous country. 

During the meeting, the delegation (i-LEAD) of KBS was briefed by the Deputy Director of Intellectual Property Research Section, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Zahirah Bt Mohd Eshan on brief information on intellectual property.

Ts. Dr. Saiful Hasley Ramli, coordinator of InnoHub, PSP also shared information and background on InnoHub, a start-up company under the InnoHub program, UPM where InnoHub is one of the programs that recorded the success of 44 start-up companies that are still active today.

At the end of the visit, the delegation (i-LEAD), KBS was taken on a tour around the Putra Science Park operating office where it is responsible for the process related to intellectual property, technology transfer, commercialisation of intellectual property and eDU-tourism tourism which is better known as EDUPARK.

Overall, the working visits and discussion sessions to strengthen the cooperation between Putra Science Park and the Ministry of Youth and Sports went well.

Hopefully, this working visit will provide long-term benefits in the bilateral relations of both sides.
