SUNGAI BESI, 15 September- UPM exhibition booth is one of the main attractions for visitors during the Semarak Patriotik IPT Exhibition in conjunction with the Malaysia Day celebration at the Universiti Pertahanan Nasional Malaysia which runs for 3 days from 13 September 2022 until 15 September 2022. 

The exhibition was also attended by several local universities highlighting the strengths of their respective universities, especially in the field of research and innovation. Universiti Putra Malaysia (UPM) through Putra Science Park, a responsible entity for managing innovation and technology UPM showcased the innovations developed by Ts. Dr. Intan Helina from the Institute of Nanoscience and Nanotechnology (ION2) UPM was at this event. 

The ceremony was officiated by the Prime Minister of Malaysia, YAB Dato' Sri Ismail Sabri Yaakob with the theme of Mahasiswa Patriotik, Keluarga Malaysia recorded the Malaysia Book of Record for the most Rukun Negara pledge reading entries with the participation of 112, 413 participants. 

The Minister of Higher Education Malaysia, YB Dato' Dr. Noraini Ahmad was also seen spending time visiting UPM’s booth to see the latest innovation of UPM as well as to get the latest update on the research and innovation development of public universities. 

Prof. Ir. Dr. Hj. Kamarul Arifin Ahmad, Director of Putra Science Park said, “We are proud to showcase the technology of UPM and increase the recognition of UPM as one of the world’s dynamic higher learning institutions, and we look forward to connecting with other universities and industries for networking purposes,”. 

A total of three staff from Putra Science Park together with a researcher participated in the exhibition and were assigned to brief the visitors on the role of Putra Science Park in managing and promoting UPM's innovation and technology at various levels. 

The Semarak Patriotic IPT Program ended on 15 September 2022 at 5 pm with  enthusiastic responses from the crowd.
